Individuals with lived experience can now become a Certified CHW and Certified PRSS through ASPIN’s online, asynchronous training program. Students that successfully complete the training will be eligible for the NAADAC Certified Peer Recovery Support National Certification, making them eligible to be billed under Indiana Medicaid for CHW and/or Peer services! The CHW/CPRSS training program offers a comprehensive curriculum that meets national certification requirements through NAADAC and emphasizes trauma-informed care, ethical practice, communication, and a variety of recovery avenues, while meeting the state certification requirements for CCHWs, based on the CDC-Endorsed Core Competencies for Community Health Workers.
