Summary:
This workshop is an Executive Coach’s guide to relationship building for the purpose of community healing. Some may ask, “Is there something unique about building relationships in communities of color?” And the answer is, “Absolutely yes!” This is true for all organizations because of the stigma (negative attitudes and beliefs) people of color have to navigate, often on a daily basis. Whether you are great at building relationships or struggling to connect with building authentic and trusting relationships, this workshop will support your efforts.

Objectives:
Participants will:
-Learn the tenets of “Collaborative Dreaming”
-Receive easy, realistic, and uncomplicated recommendations for creating your own relationship-building “checklist”
-Learn the value that Trauma-Awareness plays in relationship building
-Learn strategies for managing the expectations of all stakeholders.
-Review ACEs & PCEs Research and understand why this research is at the foundation of becoming Trauma-Informed.

Speaker Bio:
Velshonna Luckey is an executive coach for Pendulum Consulting, LLC, a company she founded, and SANDWINA, which is a coaching organization designed for women by women.  She is also the Director of Engagement for Self-Healing Communities of Greater Michiana, which is a community well-being movement.  She finds great joy in helping people, of all ages, learn about the nervous system in order to become the very best versions of themselves.
